My Favorite Yarn Store

In April, I start teaching at my favorite yarn store, Monterey Yarn. I will be teaching knitting on circular needles, knitting socks on two circular needles, and if anyone is interested, how to knit two socks simultaneously on one extra long circular needle. The shop is warm, cozy place owned by two friendly women who are always there to greet you with a smile and answer any questions.

I am really excited about this new association, because I have been a teacher, mostly of music, all my life. Now I get to share my enthusiasm for knitting. Have a look at the store.

  1. That’s my goal, too. It should be a similar step from teaching music to teaching knitting. Good luck! Here is my email:

  2. In my next life, I am coming back as a tall, willowy, dark haired beauty, that plays the violin! I bought one a couple of years ago, and took a couple of lessons. As it turned out, I wasn’t meant to be a violinist. However, I still have this beautiful violin. I stroke it now and then and dream a lot.

Congratulations are in order. It is wonderful to be able to teach knitting or work in a yarn store. I would love to do that.

BTW, have you ever played at the Oregon Coast Music Festival in Coos Bay, OR? John Paul conducts every July. Musicians come from all over the country to play here.(for little renumeration, I’m sure). We are so grateful to them.

It’s our main cultural event in this tiny area. It is wonderful.

Families host the musicians for 2 weeks. Everyone loves to visit the coast. You are very blessed to be a person that is able to bring so much joy and beauty to the world, through music.

  3. How is your job going? You haven’t posted about it since you started…give us an update?
